Edit1. Login to Umbraco

Umbraco Login
- Goto your website url and add /umbraco For example http://www.helixsoftware.co.uk/umbraco
- Enter your login details in the login panel of the popup window
- Click Browse site in the other browser window
This will display your target site so that you can review your changes.

Edit2. Site Content Tree

Site Content Tree
- After you have logged in you the popup window will display the editing panel
- The left hand panel show the site content tree
- Click on the + of the Home folder to view the site content
- Click on a folder or page in the tree to view / edit the contents

Edit3. Edit Page Content

Edit page content
- When a document is selected it displays in the right hand panel
- Depending on the document template, a series of tabs are displayed at the top of the panel
- Click on the Content tab to edit the page main content
- Click on the Secondary tab to edit the page secondary content. This is often the content in a side column in a page.
- To edit content, simply type, copy, paste and delete the text in the displayed window
- Use the tool bar to format the text in a similar fashion to using a word processor.
- To save your changes and publish to the website, Click the Save & Publish icon

- To save your changes but not publish to the website, Click the Save icon

TopEdit4. Insert an Image
- Prepare an image to add to the page content. Note The image should be in either gif, jpeg or png format.
- Place the cursor in the content where you would like the image to appear
- Click the Insert Image button

4.1 Existing Image from media library- If the image your require is already in the media library, select the image from the list in the Choose tab
4.2 Upload and Insert a New image- Click on the Create New tab
- Click browse to locate the image on your computer
- Click Choose to select a folder (node) in the media library where you want to save the image
This will now display the uploaded image in thumb nail
- Enter a title in the Title field
4.3 Image Appearance / Position- To control the location and appearance of the image click the Appearance tab
- Select the required alignment
- Add margins to top, bottom and sides of the image
4.4 Insert and size the Image- Drag the corners of the image to change its size
